Why Use an RTA Fine Calculator?

The RTA fine calculator on this page is designed to help drivers in Dubai and across the UAE stay informed about traffic rules and penalties. Instead of searching through long government lists, simply select your violation and see:

  • Fine amount (in AED)

  • Black points applied to your license

  • Impound duration (if applicable)

  • Extra notes about the rule

This tool is not an official Dubai Police portal but uses the latest published penalty guidelines to keep you aware of your responsibilities on the road.

How the UAE RTA Fine Check Tool Works

  1. Select a violation type – e.g., speeding, mobile phone use, red-light crossing.

  2. Choose specific details (like how much over the speed limit).

  3. Click “Check Fine” – your results show instantly, including fines, black points, and impound info.

Because this tool runs directly in your browser, your data is not saved, and no login is required. It’s a fast, private way to run a Dubai traffic fines check.

Common Traffic Violations in Dubai & Their Fines

Here are examples you can test in the calculator above:

  • Speeding +20 km/h → AED 300, no black points

  • Speeding +60 km/h → AED 2,000, 12 black points, 30-day impound

  • Red light violation → AED 1,000, 12 black points

  • Mobile while driving → AED 800, 4 black points

  • Seatbelt not worn → AED 400, 4 black points

  • Reckless driving → AED 2,000, 23 black points, impound up to 60 days

What Are Black Points and Why Do They Matter?

Under the UAE’s traffic system, drivers receive black points for each serious violation. If you accumulate 24 black points within 12 months, your license can be suspended.

Using the UAE RTA fine check tool, you can quickly see how close you are to that limit.

Official Dubai Police Fines Check

For official records of your fines, you should still check the Dubai Police fines portal or the RTA website. This calculator is intended as an educational and awareness tool, helping you understand the penalties before they catch you by surprise.

How can I check my Dubai Police fines online?

You can check Dubai Police fines online through the official Dubai Police website or mobile app by entering your vehicle details or Emirates ID. Our UAE RTA fine check tool helps you quickly estimate fines and black points, but for official outstanding fines, always use the Dubai Police portal.

If a driver collects 24 black points within 12 months, their license can be suspended. The suspension period can range from 3 months to 1 year depending on whether it’s the first, second, or third time.

Speeding fines depend on how much over the limit you drive:

  • +20 km/h → AED 300, no black points

  • +40 km/h → AED 700, no black points

  • +60 km/h → AED 2,000, 12 black points, 30-day impound

  • +80 km/h → AED 3,000, 23 black points, 60-day impound

For light vehicles, a red light violation fine is AED 1,000 with 12 black points, and the vehicle may be impounded for 30 days. Heavy vehicle fines are higher, starting from AED 3,000.

Using a mobile phone while driving in Dubai leads to an AED 800 fine and 4 black points.
